Free Zone Universities Opening Up New Avenues of Jobs for Dubai Nationals

The free zone universities at the emirates are guaranteeing that they will be offering government jobs to the Emiratis. The degrees offered by the institutions are accredited by Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) and will also be authorized by Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research that will be helpful while seeking jobs with top companies in Dubai.

This step has been an outcome of a series of events, where a number of were reluctant to study at the KHDA accredited institutions. This has now helped the nationals of UAE to have more options when it comes to choose the degree they want to pursue.

The emirate of Dubai has the largest campuses, which offers around 400 degrees to the students. The head of higher education at KHDA, Dr Warren Fox, stated that the students will be having guaranteed employment, in both public and private sector.

This is certainly great news for the Emiratis who had to go to other institutions in search of the available campuses. The employers also seek candidates who belong to the same city or state, hence it makes it easy for the employers to hire candidates from the same country. This is the why the Emiratis have been choosing free zone universities, since they were introduced in year 2006.

The attested degree offered by the KHDA is the main reason for the students to grab these opportunities rather than accepting free offers from federal universities. The changed law will give the KHDA an access to the key information related to profiles of the students, their enrolment numbers and other educational details.

However, it will not be possible for the students to take a degree in Dubai, and work in any other emirate as per the law. This law is for the people who will be working in Dubai after completion of their education, with the top companies in Dubai or government jobs.
